When a child or young person is diagnosed with cancer, their whole world (and their family’s) can feel like it’s falling apart.
The impact of cancer on young lives is far more than medical. Their anxieties are deep. Their education, mental health and social lives suffer. Their future feels very uncertain.
Young Lives vs Cancer is there to make sure they get the right care and support at the right time.
We’re the only charity in the UK with social workers who dedicate their time to provide tailored psychosocial support to children and young people with cancer and their families.

Which charities can I support?
Donations can be made to any national/local charity or recognised good cause such as schools and scout groups.You might choose to donate to BT’s own charitable initiative, the BT Supporters’ Club, which seeks to transform the lives of young people through sport. Or you could choose to support one of our charity partners; Comic Relief, BBC Children in Need, ChildLine or Disasters Emergency Committee. Some people choose to support local causes like churches, hospices, schools or animal welfare schemes. Whatever charity you choose to support will receive more money through Payroll Giving than if you were to donate to them directly.
You can nominate more than one charity to benefit from your donations - and you can easily change the amount or nominated charities at any time. If your chosen charity is not listed on this site you can still support them but please include the charity number so there is no delay in forwarding on your donation.
