Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID)
FSID is the UK's baby charity dedicated to promoting infant health and preventing cot deaths.
Each year more than 500 babies die suddenly.
Through our work we aim to
- continue to research the reasons why some babies die while others stay healthy
- ensure that parents receive life-saving infant care advice
- work with professionals involved in the support of bereaved families
- provide bereaved families with the specialist support they need
- improve investigations when a baby dies

Which charities can I support?
Donations can be made to any national/local charity or recognised good cause such as schools and scout groups. You might choose to donate to BT’s own charitable initiative, the BT Supporters’ Club, which seeks to transform the lives of young people through sport. Or you could choose to support one of our charity partners; Comic Relief, BBC Children in Need, ChildLine or Disasters Emergency Committee. Some people choose to support local causes like churches, hospices, schools or animal welfare schemes. Whatever charity you choose to support will receive more money through Payroll Giving than if you were to donate to them directly.
You can nominate more than one charity to benefit from your donations - and you can easily change the amount or nominated charities at any time. If your chosen charity is not listed on this site you can still support them but please include the charity number so there is no delay in forwarding on your donation. If there is a charity not listed that you would like to see here please email [email protected]
