Rethink Mental Illness
We believe a better life is possible for millions of people affected by mental illness.
Over 40 years ago, one man bravely spoke about his family’s experiences of mental illness in the Times and in the process brought together hundreds to talk about their experiences of mental illness and support each other. Today we directly support almost 60,000 people every year across England to get through crises, to live independently and to realise they are not alone. And we change attitudes and policy for millions.

Which charities can I support?
Donations can be made to any UK registered national/local charity or recognised good cause – including places of worship, schools, and foodbanks.
You can nominate more than one charity to benefit from your donations, and you can easily change the amount or nominated causes at any time.
If your chosen cause is not listed on this site, you can still support them. Just make sure to include their registered charity number so there is no delay in forwarding on your donation.
If you’d like to make a difference close to home, you can choose to support University of Manchester students and research, or donate to Manchester Museum. Just look for 'The University of Manchester' on the drop-down menu when making your donation.
