Refugee Council
We work with refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. We offer practical support and advice throughout their journey in the UK. We have been helping refugees for more than 60 years and have a thorough understanding of the difficulties facing people arriving in the UK, having fled war, rape, torture and with unimaginable stories to tell. Many refugees have lost everything and their lives will never return to normal. We offer a helping hand to support and empower them to rebuild their lives.
Refugee Council has received exemption from the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner to provide immigration advice and holds the Quality Mark for our asylum advice work.

Which charities can I support?
Donations can be made to any UK registered national/local charity or recognised good cause – including places of worship, schools, and foodbanks.
You can nominate more than one charity to benefit from your donations, and you can easily change the amount or nominated causes at any time.
If your chosen cause is not listed on this site, you can still support them. Just make sure to include their registered charity number so there is no delay in forwarding on your donation.
If you’d like to make a difference close to home, you can choose to support University of Manchester students and research, or donate to Manchester Museum. Just look for 'The University of Manchester' on the drop-down menu when making your donation.
Please contact us via the live chat on the bottom left of your screen if you have any questions.
