South-West-Equine-Protection
South West Equine Protection purpose is to help moorland ponies on Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor who have been abandoned or are suffering from neglect or injury, whatever the cause or reasons. We try to work alongside the farmers and owners to ensure any suspected welfare issues are dealt with promptly. The ponies welfare is always our number one priority.
Our work involves not only the rescue and re-homing of those horses and ponies whose plight is desperate, or who have been the victims of road traffic accidents, but also promoting welfare issues by offering advice and information. We hope to tell more people about the work we do. Some of the stories we have to tell are heart-warming, some harrowing, but they all reflect the problems we are trying to eradicate – that is why we are seeking your support!
