National-Osteoporosis-Society
The National Osteoporosis Society is the only UK charity offering nationwide support to help the 3 million people in the UK who are affected by osteoporosis. Half of all women and one in five men over 50, will break a bone due to poor bone health. Osteoporosis is often referred to as the ‘silent condition’ with many people living in pain. We are dedicated to ending the pain and suffering caused by osteoporosis, and helping people to live the lives they want to lead. We help to provide essential life-changing information via a library of free fact sheets & leaflets. Our Nurses Helpline offers free practical guidance and vital emotional support, we organise education to inform Health Professionals about the condition to ensure they are able to provide first-rate care and we fund ground-breaking medical research.
