About us

Founded in 1962, we are the UK’s leading charity for autistic people and their families. Our goal is to help transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people.
Who we are

Who we are

We are the UK's largest provider of specialist autism services. Our trained staff and volunteers bring passion and expertise to the lives of 100,000 autistic people every year. We provide as much direct support to autistic people as possible but our services also help parents, carers and professionals up and down the country. And none of this would be possible without donations from people like you.
How your donation helps

How your donation helps

£5 a month could help a worried parent get advice and information from one of our Helpline Advisers following their child’s diagnosis. £10 a month helps pay for a befriender to meet regularly with someone on the autism spectrum. £20 a month helps us to give practical support to autistic people looking for work. 97p from every £1 donated goes directly towards supporting autistic people, their families and friends.
Help and advice

Help and advice

For thousands of autistic people, our support helps to make the difference between isolation or family dependence and the chance to lead a full life. Our services give autistic people the confidence and skills to live well, enjoy the activities that others take for granted, or simply to take a break. From the Autism Helpline to our more specialist offerings, we are the outstanding source for advice and information.
Fundraising Regulator Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is the easiest way to make a regular tax-free donation to whatever cause you’d like to support.

Donations are taken each month from your salary before tax, which means more money goes to charity.

Payroll Giving is a valuable, long-term source of income for charities. Regular donations help charities budget and plan ahead, helping them make a lasting difference.

Help any causes close to your heart with a donation from your pay and make payday even better.
