Global Care
An international charity providing care, relief, development, education and other programmes for some of the world's neediest children and young people. Working directly through reliable local staff and partner agencies Global Care seeks to provide:
  • Local community centres incorporating activities such as after school homework clubs, youth groups and play and learn activities.
  • Homes for orphaned children who have never experienced a loving family.
  • Shelters for the abused, nutrition and health care to the weak and vulnerable, education and vocational training.
  • Justice for those that cannot be heard.

Ramesh (13) lives in a poor area of Sri Lanka with his father, grandmother and 2 sisters. His mother left the family when he was younger. His father is a fisherman but cannot afford to send Ramesh to school. Ramesh is sponsored through Global Care to attend the Morning Star School where he can receive an education. He enjoys school because it gives him hope for a better future.

Help us to give a hope and a future to the forgotten children around the world.

About RSPCA

The RSPCA is the world's oldest animal welfare charity. Our aims are to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals. We care about all animals: pets, farmed animals, exotics, wildlife and animals used in science - everything from puppies and kittens through to leopard geckos and guinea pigs.

We have 400 frontline animal rescuers saving animals from danger every single day. We also have expert staff in 14 animal hospitals, wildlife centers and animal centres throughout England and Wales. The RSPCA’s Animal Rescue Line answered over one million calls last year - that’s one call every 30 seconds. Our aim is to prevent cruelty and in most cases investigated by our inspectors the welfare of animals is improved by the dispensing of advice and education.
