Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary

We concentrate our work on animal re-homing, education and relieving the distress and suffering of unwanted animals and with a no-kill policy, from 2020 to 2022, during the pandemic years, found forever homes for 617 dogs and 754 cats, which have been saved from possible destruction. Prior to re-homing, and on the successful completion of home check, all animals are vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped. Measures are also put in place to ensure that all animals may be returned to the safe haven of the Sanctuary should they encounter any difficulties in their new home.

In 2021 we celebrated our 25th anniversary!

With animal welfare and well-being at the heart of everything we do, additional activities include our Dogs Day Out programme, a day away from the Sanctuary for our dogs, our Puppy Plan, giving our pups the best start in life and our socialisation programme.

We also work in partnership with Women’s Aid and support our local food banks – all possible due to the support we receive, thank you!

About RSPCA

The RSPCA is the world's oldest animal welfare charity. Our aims are to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals. We care about all animals: pets, farmed animals, exotics, wildlife and animals used in science - everything from puppies and kittens through to leopard geckos and guinea pigs.

We have 400 frontline animal rescuers saving animals from danger every single day. We also have expert staff in 14 animal hospitals, wildlife centers and animal centres throughout England and Wales. The RSPCA’s Animal Rescue Line answered over one million calls last year - that’s one call every 30 seconds. Our aim is to prevent cruelty and in most cases investigated by our inspectors the welfare of animals is improved by the dispensing of advice and education.
