Sense

Sense

Sense is a national disability charity, supporting people of all ages with complex disabilities, including deafblindness.

Our vision is to create a world where disabled people are connected and included, no matter what. We believe that every disabled person should have the opportunity to connect with others and be included in the world.

For 70 years, we have used our knowledge and expertise to deliver personalised, creative and flexible support at every stage of life, no matter how complex someone’s disability. At Sense Centres and Hubs, as well as in people’s own homes, we provide early intervention for children, help young people to access education, and support the transition into adulthood and beyond.

Our specialist services include play sessions for children, virtual buddying, short breaks and holidays, arts and sports activities, employment support, residential care, and supported living. We also offer practical information, advice and support to carers and families, and champion the rights of disabled people through campaigns.
