Make-A-Wish UK®

When a child is diagnosed with a critical illness, the lives of them and their family are turned upside down. All of a sudden their lives become about their diagnosis, appointments and treatments, often with long periods of time spent in hospital, away from their home, their friends and family.

What we do
At Make-A-Wish UK, we grant magical, life-changing wishes for children and young people living with critical illnesses by shining a little light into their world when everything else seems very dark. A wish is so much more than simply a “nice to have”, for wish children, it can be transformative; providing some respite from the daily struggles of living with a critical illness. The impact of a wish is remarkable, from giving a child confidence, something to look forward to and a chance for them and their families to create incredible memories which they can treasure forever.
Since 1986, Make-A-Wish UK has been granting wonderful wishes to the children who need them the most. Every year, hundreds of families turn to us to make their child’s wish come true. The number of children in the UK who could benefit from a wish has doubled in the last 15 years. We need people like you to help make these wishes come true.

Can you help?
By giving a regular donation each month, you can help grant incredible wises for children like Aaryan who wished for an accessible trike. You can read Aaryan’s story here (https://www.make-a-wish.org.uk/wishes/wish-stories/aaryans-disability-trike-wish/)
