BBC Media Action
The BBC's international development charity uses the power of media to help reduce poverty and support people in understanding their rights. Its aim is to inform, connect and empower people around the world.
BBC Children in Need is here to make sure that every child has the childhood they deserve – and the support they need to thrive. We fund thousands of charities and projects in every corner of the UK, that support children and young people to feel and be safer, have improved mental health and wellbeing, form better, more positive relationships and be given more equal opportunities to flourish.
Age needs respect. It needs kindness. Sometimes it needs help. A regular tax-free donation through your payroll can help towards caring for the elderly and finding new treatments and cures for Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Charities need help now more than ever
Being born into a poor family in a developing country dramatically reduces a child’s chances of a brighter future. This can and must change. Giving families a fair chance at life is critical. A regular donation through Payroll Giving allows charities to plan for the future and make life better for the underprivileged.
Make a difference every payday by helping charities provide essential services, bridging the gap left by funding cuts:
· Help vulnerable people maintain a quality of life, independence and dignity · Provide food and education for children living in poverty so they can thrive · Emergency aid and water for those living in war-torn areas · Animal rescue and welfare · Helping those suffering with mental health get the support they need · Fund medical research programmes to improve outcomes.
Advantages of donating through your pay:
Simply by completing a donation form, you can choose to support any charity of your choice, directly from your pay - or you can create a My Giving Account, which allows you to build up funds to use at a time in future, such as disaster relief. The BBC works with Payroll Giving in Action and the Charities Trust to deliver the scheme.
About Charities Trust Charities Trust is a national payroll giving and corporate donation management agency approved by HM Revenue & Customs (previously known as Inland Revenue). Charities Trust is a non-profit making organisation, and a charity in its own right. Charity registration number: 327489

You can nominate more than one charity to benefit from your donations, and you can easily change the amount or nominated charities at any time. If your chosen charity is not listed on this site, you can still support them. Just make sure to include their charity number so there is no delay in forwarding your donation.
