BBC-Media-Action
BBC Media Action is the BBC’s international charity and we believe in the power of media and communication for good.
We work in more than 30 countries and reach over 100 million people every year. We support independent media and share trusted information for stronger democracies, a safer, more habitable planet and more inclusive societies. From training journalists to convey life-saving information in Nepal and Bangladesh, to supporting female-led radio in Afghanistan, we ensure those on the frontlines of conflict and crisis get the trustworthy information needed to make critical decisions about their lives.
£25 could pay for a solar-powered power bank for a local broadcast journalist to keep working in an area where power is down. During a humanitarian crisis, this enables a journalist to continue their vital work reporting for communities on how to stay safe and where to get lifesaving help.
£5 could pay for a SIM card with a month's worth of data to help a journalist stay online and able to report.
We are proudly part of the BBC family, but we rely on funding from donors and partners to carry out our work. To find out more, please see bbcmediaaction.org.
